Sunday Funday Sports runs an NHL Street floor hockey league for kids in Downers Grove, Darien, Willowbrook, Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills , Westmont, Burr Ridge, and DuPage County, Illinois.

Players in grades K-8 get one hour of co-ed floor hockey every Sunday — no weekday practices and no travel.

Gear is included, games use safe plastic sticks and soft floor balls, and the 2026 spring season runs Sundays from March 1 through April 26 at Downers Grove South.

NHL Street Floor Hockey — Parent Questions

  • No. It's one game each Sunday afternoon — about an hour. No weekday practices and no travel. There's a single Skills Combine at the start to balance teams.

  • Kindergarten through 8th grade, in three divisions: K-2 plays at 2:30pm, 3-5 at 3:30pm, and 6-8 at 4:30pm. High-schoolers (15–18) serve as trained coaches and refs.

  • At Downers Grove South High School, with the 2026 spring season running Sundays from March 1 (Combine) through April 26. There are no games over Easter (April 5) or spring break (April 12).

  • Yes — it's beginner-friendly. Games use lightweight plastic sticks and soft floor balls, with age-matched rules and trained refs.

  • Yes. Teams are co-ed and all skill levels play side-by-side. The goal is fun and touches for every kid.

  • Yes — you can sign up solo or as a team of up to 10 players, and we'll keep requested friends together where we can.
