Sunday Funday Sports 2025 NFL Flag Combine Day – Everything You Need to Know!

The wait is almost over — Combine Day is here!

Mark your calendars for Sunday, August 24 at Hinsdale South High School (practice turf, behind the building next to the tennis courts).

This is where the fun begins. Our players will get the chance to show off their skills, meet their coaches, and officially kick off another great season of Sunday Funday Sports NFL Flag Football.

Event Details

  • Location: Hinsdale South HS practice turf (by the tennis courts)

  • Date: Sunday, August 24

  • Times:

    • K–2 League → 1:00–2:00 PM

    • 3–5 League → 2:00–3:00 PM

    • 6–8 League → 3:00–4:00 PM

Players should arrive 20 minutes early to check in at the registration desk and get warmed up.

What to Bring

  • Cleats (recommended for turf play)

  • Water bottle to stay hydrated

  • Mighty Oak Athletic shirt — Wear it to support our sponsor and be entered to win 1 of 10 pairs of Chicago Bears NFL Receiver Gloves!

What to Expect

Each player will rotate through four stations designed to highlight their football skills:

  1. Running

  2. Passing

  3. Catching

  4. Flag Pulling

Scores will be recorded to help our coaches draft balanced teams. Why? Because the SFS spirit is all about fair, competitive, and fun games every Sunday.

About Teams and Buddies

We get it — kids want to play with their buddies, and parents love the ease of carpools. But here’s the deal:

At Sunday Funday Sports, we do not take buddy requests.

Why? Because it quickly leads to “super teams” stacked with talent, which takes the fun out of the game for everyone else. Our experience over 11 seasons has proven that this rule keeps the league fair and competitive.

The good news? Kids make new friends every season, and games stay exciting from start to finish. That’s what Sunday Funday is all about — football, fun, and community.

Final Word

Combine Day is the start of something special. We’re thrilled to welcome back our returning families and meet the new faces joining the SFS community this fall.

So lace up your cleats, bring your best energy, and get ready for a Sunday Funday like no other.

See you on the turf!
