Youth Sports Leagues in DuPage County, Illinois

Sunday Funday Sports is a youth-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit running one-game-a-week youth sports leagues across DuPage County, Illinois.

Kids play one organized game every Sunday — NFL Flag Football, WIFFLE® Ball, NHL Street Floor Hockey, and Young3 3-on-3 Basketball — with no weekday practices and no travel schedule.

Games are played at Hinsdale South High School in Darien and Downers Grove South High School, serving families across the county.

Youth sports built for DuPage County families

Across DuPage County, families are looking for the same thing: a way for kids to play real, organized sports with friends — without weeknight practices, travel tournaments, and a calendar that runs the whole house. Sunday Funday Sports is that alternative. One game, one hour, every Sunday. That's the entire commitment.

We're a youth-led nonprofit, which means the leagues are run with kids' growth in mind, not profit. Paid, trained teen referees officiate every game, community volunteers coach, and high-schoolers across the county can earn paid Sunday referee shifts and real leadership experience.

Four leagues, all year long

The seasons rotate so there's almost always something coming up. NFL Flag Football runs in fall, WIFFLE® Ball in winter, NHL Street Floor Hockey in spring, and Young3 3-on-3 Basketball rounds out the calendar. Most leagues offer co-ed divisions for grades K–2, 3–5, and 6–8; Young3 3-on-3 Basketball runs grades 3–5 and 6–8. Beginners are always welcome. Current dates, pricing, and registration live on each league page.

Who runs it

Sunday Funday Sports is a youth-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Games are officiated by paid, trained teen referees — many of them Hinsdale Central students — and coached by community volunteers. DuPage County high-schoolers can join us on the other side of the whistle too — reffing is a paid Sunday job with real leadership training.
